PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION:
At first bark, the PET853 Anti-Bark Collar applies a short warning tone. If a second bark occurs within thirty seconds, a more intense tone is sounded. From the 3rd bark through to the 7th bark, an intense tone is sounded along with a shock.

Stage 7 - [5 sec warning beep. 5 sec shock]
SAFETY MODE - If your pet stops barking for 30 seconds, the T-AIM Doggy PET853 Anti-Bark Collar resets back down to the “tone only” level of correction.
To protect the dog, if the continuous stimulus reaches the 7th level, then the collar will stop working for 1 minute.
